Lorenzo Pellegrini voted as MVP by fans
The midifielder, after a great performance last night, has received the most votes by the Azzurri supporters through the FIGC siteWednesday, June 8, 2022
Lorenzo Pellegrini has been voted as the Most Valuable Player in Italy’s second 2022/23 Nations League group game against Hungary, ending 2-1 in favour of the Azzurri.
The 25-year old from Rome obtained 49.3% of the vote from fans on the FIGC website, followed by Nicolò Barella (21,13%) and Wilfried Gnonto (8,45%).
Ever present in Italy’s forward plays, he was influential in Barella’s opening goal, intelligently leaving Spinazzola’s pass to goalscorer Barella.
On the stroke of halftime, he capped off a fine performance with his fifth goal in the Azzurri colours, his second consecutive one, after an assist from Matteo Politano.
