Under the eyes of Massimiliano Favo, coach of the U17 European champions, sitting next to Maurizio Viscidi, coordinator of the Azzurrini National Youth Teams, the Under-16s won the Torneo dei Gironi, staged this weekend at the Federal Technical Centre of Coverciano. The Azzurrini finished in first place with 4 points, thanks to a 2-2 comeback against Rappresentativa A on pitch 2, named after Enzo Bearzot. After going down 2-0 (Daniele Petrone in the 9th minute and Alessandro Isidori in the 11th), Marco Scarpa's boys shortened the distance after 17 minutes with Marcello Fugazzola, before finally equalising thanks to Alessio Scelta's own goal.
