Italy to pay tribute to Raffaella Carrà during the warm-up in today's semi-final clash with Spain

Raffaella Carrà, who was a real queen of Italian television as well as being someone who loved the beautiful game and was a huge fan of the Azzurri, passed away yesterday aged 78. To honour her memory, the FIGC have requested that UEFA put  ‘A far l’amore comincia tu’, one of her best known and most-loved songs, in the playlist used during the warm-up tonight. Italy face Spain in the semi-final of the Euros at Wembley Stadium.

“The loss of an icon like Raffaella Carrà - said the President of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina - who was an innovative woman and an extraordinary artist, has touched all of us deeply. Before tonight’s game, we want to remember her with joy, listening to some of her upbeat, energetic music.”
