Italy stay in 9th in the FIFA World Ranking

The Italy Men’s National Team remain in ninth played in the FIFA World Ranking following the victory over North Macedonia and the draw with Ukraine in the two matches, which saw the Azzurri book their ticket to the EURO 2024 finals. Argentina are still the world’s number one, followed by France. Meanwhile, England have moved into third and Belgium into fourth after Brazil dropped to fifth place in the wake of defeats to Colombia and Argentina.

The Netherlands have overtaken Portugal to go into sixth place in a top ten rounded out by Spain, Italy and Croatia. 188 international fixtures were played in November: the most notable moves outside the top ten were made by Uruguay (11th, +4), Tunisia (28th, +4), Ecuador (32nd, +4), Romania (43rd, +5), Slovakia (45th, +5) and Greece (47th, +4). The FIFA Ranking will next be updated on 21 December.
