After the defeat against Spain, eyes are on the playoff for third place in the Nations League. The national team, having suffered defeat in Enschede against Spain (Joselu's goal in the 88th minute won it for them) are now set for Sunday's match which will be played at the De Grolsch Veste stadium at 15:00 CEST against the hosts Netherlands, who lost in the first semi-final to Croatia.
The match between Spain and Italy was watched by 6,538,979 spectators, with a share of 33.48%. And over 180,000 tuned in to "Vivo Azzurro Live", the pre-match show conducted by Pierluigi Pardo and Bernardo Corradi live from Enschede.
The players who did not play a part yesterday had a training session. On Saturday, after the press conference from coach Mancini and a player, the final training session will precede the final against the Netherlands, an opponent against whom there have been 23 previous meetings: ten Azzurri victories, ten draws and three Dutch wins. Two of these previous matches came in the Nations League. On 7 September, in Amsterdam, a goal by Nicolò Barella won it; on 14 October, it finished 1-1 in Bergamo with goals from Pellegrini and Van de Beek.
