Italy remain 9th in FIFA Ranking

Following the defeat to Germany in the Nations League quarter-finals, Italy remain 9th in the FIFA Ranking, still headed up by reigning world champions Argentina. Behind them are Spain who overtook France, exploiting Les Bleus’ defeat in Croatia in the first leg of the Nations League quarter-final.

Worth mentioning of the Top 10 is also Wales (6th) who beat out Portugal. Since December, 245 international games have been played across all continents: among the European sides to move upwards are Croatia (11th, +2), Czechia (39th, +3) and Norway (38th, +5) - the latter being our next opponent in Oslo on June 6 as we play for World Cup 2026 qualification. The next FIFA Ranking will be published on July 10.
