Italy drop to tenth in FIFA World Ranking

Luciano Spalletti’s men, who will face Spain (eighth) in their second EURO 2024 match this evening, have dropped below Croatia (ninth) and into tenth in the FIFA ranking. The top three remain the same, with world champions Argentina ahead of France and Belgium. Meanwhile, Brazil have moved above England and now occupy fourth.

187 matches have been played since the publication of the previous ranking (April 2024). In the top 100, Ghana (64th, +4), Honduras (78th, +4), Haiti (86th, +4), Curaçao (87th, +4), Benin (91st, +6) and Nambia (97th, +9) are the biggest climbers in the ranking. Sudan (121st, +6), North Korea (110th, +8) and Liberia (142nd, +10) have also notably improved their positions. The next FIFA Ranking will be published on 18 July, after UEFA EURO 2024 has concluded.
