Italy beat Sweden 9-3 in the second friendly between the teams
The Azzurre responded after losing the first matchWednesday, April 3, 2019
The Women's National Futsal Team put in a fantastic performance in their second friendly against Sweden. At the Iscar Arena in Vetlanda, Francesca Salvatore’s girls got the better of Bajraktarevic’s side thanks to five goals from Federica Belli and one each from Alessia Grieco, Arianna Pomposelli, Cecilia Barca and Jessica Exana.
“I am very happy,” the manager said. “We played a great match and the result speaks for itself. The girls were very clinical in front of goal and that is what they should be like in every game. We took the lead early in the game and that made things easier for us. Sweden are a growing power in our sport and a physical side; we had to fight hard until the end. We took a step forward towards reaching the full potential of my team.”
