With the arrival of Sassuolo forward Giacomo Raspadori, who left the senior National Team’s training camp this morning to join up with his teammates, and Venezia midfielder Youssef Maleh, who arrived in Tirrenia after his team’s Serie B playoff showdown against Cittadella, the Azzurrini now have a full contingent. They’re currently preparing for their European Championship quarter-final clash against Portugal, a match scheduled for Monday evening in Ljubljana.
Paolo Nicolato’s side completed a double training session today. Tomorrow, they’ll get to work in the morning before then departing for Slovenia. On Sunday morning, the Azzurrini will train at the ŽAK training ground, after which the Head Coach will hold his pre-match press conference. A decisive showdown is coming up for the Under-21 National Team in this atypical European Championship. It'll be a straight knockout phase: after the quarters, the semis are scheduled for 3 June in Maribor, and the final will take place in Ljubljana on 6 June.
