The Under 19 National Team faced a real test of strength, as they beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 at the Municipal Stadium of Archanes, on matchday two of Group 8 of the first phase of European qualifiers. The Azzurrini broke the deadlock in the fourth minute with the 16 year old AC Milan forward, Francesco Camarda, before going on to make it 3-0 thanks to a brace from the captain and Roma midfielder Mattia Mannini, who scored in the 11th and 26th minutes.
"We must applaud the boys - Coach Alberto Bollini stated-, because coming up against a team like Bosnia and Herzegovina wasn't easy, trying to limit all of the strong points, be it from a technical-tactical point of view or temperamental standpoint. It wasn't just a case of going into the lead early and the, shortly after, scoring another two goals. In the second half, we could've increased our lead, because we had a lot of chances".
Italy will be back in action on Tuesday 19 November (13:30 CET) at the Stadium 'Theodoros Vardinogiannis' in Heraklion against the home side Greece, who lost 3-0 against Montenegro in the other match in Group 8. "We will prepare in the best way possible for this decisive match - he added -, we are growing as a team, match after match, we're becoming a group".
