Flying to Brazil: the Azzurrini to play their opening match on 28 October against the Solomon Islands
Yesterday evening the National Team flew out from Venice to Brazil. Italy find themselves in Group F and will take on Mexico on 31 October and Paraguay on 3 NovemberMonday, October 21, 2019
Italy’s adventure in the Under-17 World Cup is about to begin. Yesterday evening the 21 Azzurrini called up by Coach Carmine Nunziata flew out from Marco Polo Airport (Venice) to Brazil, where on Monday 28 October they will play their first game of the tournament against the Solomon Islands, with kick-off at 21:00 CEST. They will then face their other Group F opponents; Mexico on Thursday 31 October (Kick-off 00:00 CEST) and Paraguay on Sunday 3 November (Kick-off 00:00 CEST).
All first-round matches will be played at Estadio Bezerrao in Gama, in the Federal District. The format of the tournament is made up out of six groups each with four teams: The top two teams in each group, along with the best four third-placed teams, will progress to the round of 16, set to begin on 5 November.
