Gattuso continues his training camp tour in Bologna
The Azzurri Head Coach met with Vincenzo Italiano and the players, and observed the team’s training sessionWednesday, August 6, 2025

Azzurri Head Coach Gennaro Gattuso continued his Serie A training camp tour with a stop in Bologna today. He was welcomed at the Niccolò Galli Training Centre in Casteldebole by Rossoblù coach Vincenzo Italiano, technical director Giovanni Sartori, and sporting director Marco Di Vaio. Gattuso was joined by assistants Luigi Riccio and Leonardo Bonucci, along with Delegation Head Gianluigi Buffon. He observed the team’s training session, at the end of which he took time to greet the players and chat with Bologna’s coaching staff.

With Italy’s next World Cup qualifier against Estonia in Bergamo less than a month away, the Head Coach is stepping up direct contact with Serie A coaches and those hoping to earn a place in the squad. The aim is to get a clear picture of the work done over the summer and see how the players are shaping up.

After recent visits to Roma, Juventus, Inter and Cagliari, as well as today’s stop in Bologna, Gattuso will head to Formello tomorrow to watch Lazio train. On 8 August, he’ll visit Sassuolo, while, five days after that, he’ll stop by Udinese’s training centre before attending the UEFA Super Cup clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham at the Stadio Friuli in Udine that evening.
