After the whole group had undergone testing on Monday 29 March in Sofia (Bulgaria) in accordance with the UEFA protocol, all results came back negative. On the morning of Tuesday 30 March, one staff member felt slightly unwell (sore throat). As a precautionary measure, the said staff member immediately went into isolation and didn’t join the team in travelling to Lithuania.

Upon returning to Italy, the individual in question underwent a molecular test, which came back positive this afternoon. As a result of this, the staff members that had been in close contact with him went into isolation in Vilnius (Lithuania) and were immediately subjected to new molecular tests. The results for three individuals came back positive just moments after Lithuania vs. Italy had come to an end. All of those who have tested positive for Covid-19 have been excluded from the delegation.
