The first stage of the pre-Euros training camp continued at the Forte Village Resort in Santa Margherita di Pula today as the Azzurri ramped up preparations for Friday’s friendly against San Marino. The team trained this morning as Sassuolo defender Gian Marco Ferrari joined the group after he was called up to replace Manuel Lazzari. Pellegrini, Raspadori, Sensi, Spinazzola and Verratti all trained in part.
“The boys are looking good and are happy to be here with their families,” said fitness coach Andrea Scanavino. “This pre-camp helps us to relax a little following the pressures of a domestic season that was intense until the final matchday. We’re monitoring the players’ conditions and we’re trying to give them the best conditions possible, in which they can feel good and are able to do what the coach wants of them.”
