Final training session at the Gianluca Vialli pitch before departing for New Zealand

The final training session on home soil, the official photo, and a sendoff by New Zealand's vice-ambassador in Italy. The Women's national team are ready to set off to New Zealand, where they will play their three FIFA World Cup group games. The flight, departing from Rome's Fiumicino airport this evening, will officially kick off Milena Bertolini's girls' World Cup mission.  

This morning, the squad took to pitch 3 at the CPO Giulio Onesti in Acqua Acetosa, recently named after Gianluca Vialli, to have one last session. Following this, the group of players and staff posed for the official World Cup photo. 

This afteroon, before going to the airport, the side received well wishes from New Zealand's vice-ambassador in Italy, Daniel Wai-Poi, alongside Second Secretary Emma Murphy and Policy Adviser Claudia Grosso.
