FIFA rankings: Italy finish 2019 in 13th place, the Azzurri earned 68 points in the past year

Roberto Mancini’s Italian National Team finished 2019 in 13th place in the FIFA rankings, with Belgium still top of the table ahead of France and Brazil. There’s no changes at the top, with the Azzurri on 1607 points ahead of Holland and Germany and just one point behind Switzerland (1608 points).

It marks the end of a very positive year for Italian football, with qualification for EURO 2020 secured with maximum points, a gain of 68 points in the rankings compared to a year ago and the sixth-best improvement in position in the rankings of all teams since the end of 2018. The next FIFA rankings will be published on 20 February 2020.
