After the win over San Marino, the Italy U21s turn their focus towards the game against Norway in Stavanger on Tuesday at 18:00 CEST (live on Rai 2), the next crucial step on the road to Euro 2025 qualification. Despite beating them in the earlier fixture in Bolzano, the Norwegians only have three points less than Italy, having played one fewer game in the group where the Republic of Ireland are also vying for a spot in the next round.
Carmine Nunziata’s side was back in Rome on Thursday evening and underwent a cool-down session this morning. Empoli midfielder, Jacopo Fazzini, has left the Italy camp following his game at the Francioni being cut short last night through injury. Roma midfielder, Tommaso Baldanzi, picked up a lumbosacral strain in the first half of the game and will be monitored in the coming hours.
