European qualification: Italy to play Sweden at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito in Benevento on 31 March

The Stadio Ciro Vigorito in Benevento will be the venue for a match on 31 March between the Under-21 National Team and Sweden, as a part of both teams' campaigns for qualification to the 2021 European Championship. It will be the U21s' sixth time playing in Benevento, where over the previous five years the team has picked up two wins, two draws and one loss. The stadium hosted the Women’s Nation Team on 8 November and bore witness to a fantastic 6-0 win over Georgia, which secured three valuable points for the Azzurre in their bid to qualify for EURO 2021.

Paolo Nicolato’s Italy side are second in Group 1; they are three points behind Ireland but have two games in hand. The group leaders will be back in qualifying action on 26 March as they travel to play Luxembourg, who sit rock bottom of the group with no points.
