The Under 17s national team's preparation continues towards the final phase of the European Championship scheduled from Wednesday 17 May to Friday 2 June in Hungary, where they will face Serbia, Spain and Slovenia in Group B.
The Azzurrini, having finished top of Group 8 of the first qualifying phase in Finland, ended the elite phase, held in Cyprus, at the top of Group 6 ahead of Ireland (7 points), placing 2nd in terms of goals scored (7 against the Irish's 8, goal difference being equal: 4).
Coach Bernardo Corradi has called up 22 players, all born in 2006 with the exception of Mattia Liberali (AC Milan) and Giorgio Vezzosi (Sassuolo), both 2007, for a three-day training camp, from Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 April, at the Villaggio Azzurro in Novarello.
