Elena Linari has also earned a place in the EURO 2025 Team of the Tournament. In a top XI dominated by England and Spain, with four players each, the Italian defender takes her spot after an outstanding campaign alongside her Azzurre teammates. Explaining their selections, UEFA’s technical observers stated that they chose players who not only stood out for their technical ability and teamwork, but also those who made a significant impact in the tournament’s biggest matches.

'Linus’' spot is not the only recognition the Azzurre have received at this tournament. Cristiana Girelli’s stunner of a goal against Portugal was selected among the ten best goals of the tournament by UEFA’s technical observers. Girelli’s curling strike earned the forward fifth place in the rankings, topped by France’s Delphine Cascarino ahead of Caroline Graham Hansen and Alexia Putellas.
The EURO 2025 MVP award went to Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí. The 27-year-old, winner of the last two Ballon d’Or titles, overcame a difficult start to the tournament caused by meningitis and went on to showcase her full talent in the knockout stage, earning Player of the Match honours in both the quarter-finals and the semi-finals.
