With only a week to go before leaving for England, where they will kick off their European campaign against France in Rotherham on Sunday 10 July, the Azzurre posed in front of the cameras this morning, in Castel di Sangro, wearing the new kit for the official team photo. Alongside the 23 selected players and Head Coach Milena Bertolini in the photo shoot, that has now become a pre-tournament tradition, were also FIGC President Gabriele Gravina and General Secretary Marco Brunelli, as well as Head of Delegation Cristiana Capotondi and Team Director Chiara Marchitelli.
For the tournament, PUMA have produced the Women’s team home kit in collaboration with LIBERTY, an iconic London design house and department store, adding a timeless touch of elegance to the shirts, and with the LIBERTY flowers drawn by hand.
The original and authentic shirts have been produced by PUMA with an exclusive technology called ULTRAWEAVE, an extra-light fabric designed to guarantee optimal performance. Its four-way elastic structure helps to improve movement, lessening the effect of weight and friction, and allowing more concentration on quicker and stronger movements. The DryCELL technology keeps athletes dry and comfortable even in extreme conditions.
Meanwhile, preparations for the imminent European adventure continue. This afternoon, the players will have their first training session of the week at Stadio Teofilo Patini, and the camp will end on Friday with the final warm-up game against Spain (17:00 CEST live on Rai Sport + HD). Three days later, the squad will depart for Manchester on 4 July.
