The draw for the Women's EURO 2022 final tournament, which is scheduled to take place in England from 6 to 31 July 2022, will take place at 18:00 CEST. Milena Bertolini will be at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester to watch events unfold.
England will be placed in position 1 of Group A and the 15 teams involved in the draw have been classified on the basis of the national team coefficient rankings, for which their results in the following competitions are used: UEFA Women's EURO 2017 (qualifying and finals), 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup (qualifying and finals), UEFA Women's EURO 2022 (qualifying group stage).
Pot 1 comprises three sides: the Netherlands (the current European champions), Germany and France; in this pot, the teams will be allocated to position 1 of the other groups in alphabetical order. All other seeding pots consist of four teams each. Italy are in pot 2, alongside Sweden, Spain and Norway. The Azzurre, who were knocked out at the group stage in 2017, qualified for the tournament thanks to a second-place finish behind Denmark in Group B.
The top two from each group will reach the quarter-finals. The tournament will take place in eight locations (Brighton & Hove, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Sheffield, Southampton and Wigan & Leigh), with the first match scheduled for 6 July at Old Trafford in Manchester. The final will be played at Wembley in London.
