From today, Saturday 9, to Tuesday 12 September, Esselunga, FIGC Premium Partner and of the Italian Football National teams, is promoting the 'Azzurri Village' in Milan.
In Piazza Gae Aulenti, for the Men's first team games against North Macedonia (Skopje, 9 September at 20:45 CEST) and Ukraine (Milan, 12 September at 20:45 CEST), it will be possible to experience and support the Azzurri along with other fans, as the two games will be shown live on the big screen installed.
The FIGC has brought the Village and some of the National team's most iconic objects, including the 2020 European trophy won by the Azzurri, to be exhibited until 12 September, giving everyone the chance to have a photo taken with the trophy.
Radio Italia will entertain the public, with live performances and a dedicated schedule. Featuring in the square will be Sergio Labruna, who will interact with the audience through games and different activities, and DJ Paoletta, who will bring the square alive from the decks playing the best of Italian music.
For the occasion, a dedicated area for a new kind of sport has been created, ‘Trolley Football’: a game for everyone, adults and kids alike, who can challenge one another, in various degrees of difficulty, with aim of kicking the ball accurately into a shopping trolley! There will be a tent dedicated to esports, where Fifa football can be played, the game's most popular videogame, and the Village will also see a special team present: Italy's National esports squad, who in July finished 3rd in the ‘FIFA eNations Cup’, the competition between the eNational teams from the World's Football Associations. Furthermore, an interactive area in the Village, set up by adidas, is expected where one can put themselves to a speed test wearing the new X trainers.
There's also a dedicated area to street food, organised by Bar Atlantic, where it will possible to stop for a break or aperatif and taste the ever-popular Esselunga Focacciane, but also salads, sandwiches, fruit or sweets. The event is free and open to the public. To participate in the various activities on offer, it will be necessary to register at the Village entrance, where a bracelet will be provided to access the dedicated areas, and where a special free gift will be handed out.
