Six months after the triumph at the UEFA eEURO 2020, selections are now underway for the eNazionale TIMVISION PES. FIGC is putting four spots on the team up for grabs during a series of selection tournaments open to all Italian citizens over 18, which will take place online in November and December 2020. Six qualifying stages are scheduled on 8,15, 22 and 29 November and 6 and 13 December. The winners of the selection tournaments will then take on four reigning European champion eplayers to decide the new eNazionale TIMVISION PES squad.

Italy are aiming to relive the success of last May in the most important competition for international eFootball in the world. In the second edition of the European Championship, all 55 UEFA federations will compete: the ten winners of the round and the six runners-up will qualify for the finals, which will take place on 9 and 10 July in London.

The following players were chosen to represent Italy at the last tournament: Rosario ‘Npk_02’ Accurso, Nicola ‘nicaldan’ Lillo, Carmine ‘Naples17x’ Liuzzi and Alfonso ‘AlonsoGrayfox’ Mereu. They won FIGC’s first-ever trophy in eSports and were selected for the tournament last January at the Centro Tecnico Federale di Coverciano. It was a triumphant ride for TIMVISION PES, who after all of their group stage games, beat Israel in the quarter-finals and France in the semi-finals. Then, in the final against Serbia, they achieved a thrilling win, decided at the end by the goal scored by an all-Neapolitan partnership, Carmine ‘Naples17x’ Liuzzi and Lorenzo Insigne’s in-game avater. All the Azzurri matches, from the qualifying round to the final, were broadcast live from the TIMVISION platform with excellent results.

So, from November 8, we leave for an exciting new adventure, a long virtual journey to London to achieve our dream of wearing the Azzurri shirt!
