The first two official tests for the new season are official. From 22 to 28 October the Azzurrine will play the first phase of the European qualifiers in SwedenTuesday, July 27, 2021
The 'Villaggio Azzurro' Sports Centre at Novarello in Granozzo will host the two friendly matches between the Under 17 Women's National Team and Switzerland on Wednesday 8 and Friday 10 September (times to be confirmed). They will be the first two tests of the season for the Italians who, after the cancellation of the last two editions of the European Championship due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will also be engaged from 22 to 28 October in Sweden for the first phase of qualifying for the continental tournament.
The new format of the European Championship, which follows that of the Nations League, sees Italy included in League A along with host nation Sweden, France, and Wales. The seven teams who finish bottom in the League A groups will be relegated to League B, while the six League B group winners and the best runner-up will be promoted to League A. The draw for the second phase will take place at the end of 2021 and the seven League A winners will join host country Bosnia and Herzegovina in the finals, scheduled from 3 to 15 May 2022.
