Data from the Spalletti era: Frattesi is the most present (13 appearances), Donnarumma has played 1080 minutes

Luciano Spalletti has been in the Azzurri dugout since 1 September 2023: The 14 matches played comprised six European Championship Qualifying matches, four friendlies and four at the European Championships. His record so far has been seven wins (three in European Qualifiers, three in friendly matches and one at the Euros), four draws and three defeats, with a total of 25 points achieved from a possible 42, averaging 1.78 points per game. The goal difference stands at +8, as a result of 21 goals scored (1.5 goals per game)  and 13 goals conceded (0.92 per game, with six clean sheets). To show this in further detail, out of the 1260 minutes that the Azzurri have played, they have been ahead for 495 minutes (39.2% of the time), they have spent 600 minutes level with their opponents (47.6% of the time played) and behind in matches for 165 minutes (13% of the time).

Until this point, Spalletti has called up 54 players (the latest new arrivals being Okoli and Brescianini), 39 of which have made an appearance on the pitch. There have been 6 debutants: Udogie, Vicario, Cambiaso, Bellanova, Calafiori and Folorunsho. Frattesi has made the most appearances (13 appearances), followed by Donnarumma, Barella, Dimarco and Raspadori (12 appearances each). Donnarumma has played the most minutes (1080 minutes), ahead of Barella (979 minutes) and Di Lorenzo (944 minutes).

So far, 14 players have scored (four goals for Frattesi, two for Barella, Berardi, Chiesa and Retegui, one goal for Bastoni, Bonaventura, Darmian, El Shaarawy, Immobile, Pellegrini, Raspadori, Scamacca and Zaccagni). The Azzurri have been given 21 yellow cards (four yellows for Mancini, two for Calafiori and Zaniolo and one card for Barella, Buongiorno, Cristante, Di Lorenzo, Dimarco, Donnarumma, El Shaarawy, Fagioli, Jorginho, Pellegrini, Scalvini, Tonali and Udogie).

Two pieces of data from the last Euros: Against Albania, Italy conceded the fastest goal in its history (Bajrami after 23 seconds), which is also the fastest goal in the history of the European Championship finals. Against Croatia, Donnarumma saved the 17th penalty in the Azzurri’s history and the second in his career, only Buffon has saved more with five saves from the penalty spot.
