Chiellini withdraws from squad, the team to travel to Rome this afternoon

Having held their final training session at Coverciano today, the National Team will travel to Rome this afternoon ahead of their game against Switzerland at 20:45 CET on Friday evening. Giorgio Chiellini has become the latest player to return to his club side, with Zaniolo, Pellegrini and Immobile having already withdrawn. Gianluca Scamacca, who was called up to replace Immobile yesterday, and Nicolò Barella, who underwent treatment for the injury he picked up in the derby against AC Milan, both took part in training today.

Once they arrive in Rome, the Azzurri will pay a visit to the children being treated at the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital, taking along the European Championship trophy they won at Wembley on 11 July.
