The FIGC has officially announced the Chief Delegates for the Italy National Teams next season. Gianluca Vialli has been confirmed in his position as Chief Delegate representing the National Team, currently coached by his friend and former teammate Roberto Mancini, whose team will be back in action in September for our first two Nations League matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Netherlands, while the new Chief Delegate representing the Women’s National Team is Cristiana Capotondi, one of the nation’s most esteemed actresses, who has been Vice President of the Lega Pro since November 2018.

She will be replacing Barbara Facchetti, who has now taken on the role of Team Manager of the Italy Women’s National Team, starting her new adventure with two matches against Israel and Bosnia and Herzegovina in qualifiers for the UEFA Women's Championship. “I’m thrilled about this appointment,” the new Chief Delegate said, “and I’d like to thank the FIGC President for the trust he’s placed in me. I can’t wait to get started with this new experience and to start helping out Milena Bertolini, her staff and the players, especially given the important matches we have coming up in the coming months. It will be an honour to make a contribution to the work of the Azzurre and help them along the way in a journey that is significant not only in terms of success on the pitch, but also in terms of its cultural and social impact.”

Massimo Paganin will remain in his position as Chief Delegate representing the Under-21s, with Vincenzo Marinelli’s position as Assistant Manager, while Evaristo Beccalossi, Gianfranco Seriolie Filippo Corti will be Chief Delegates of the Under-20 National Team, the Under-19 National Team, and the Under-17 National Team. The Chief Delegate for the Italy National Beach Soccer Team, Ferdinando Arcopinto, and the Italy Women’s National Football Team, with Patrizia Recandio responsible for the Under-23 and Under-19 sides, while the Under-17 and Under-16 sides are being supervised by ex-Olympic cross-country skier Manuela Di Centa.

The Chief Delegate for the Five-a-side-football will be decided once the sport gets back underway, as it is scheduled to do in the coming months.
