The AC Milan forward who has made his Serie A debut underlined the Azzurri Under 17s ambitions. Tomorrow at 12:00 CET (livestream on the FIGC website), they will know two of the three results against hosts, Finland, to reach the final phaseMonday, March 25, 2024
The Under 17 National team, after beating the Netherlands 2-0 in the opening game, and Belgium 5-3 in the last round, will play on Tuesday at 12:00 CET (livestream on the FIGC website) at the Myyrmäki Stadium in Vantaa against hosts, Finland, on the last game in Group 3 the elite round of the Euros. Massimiliano Favo’s Azzurrini sit top of the group with a maximum of 6 points and will have two of the three results necessary for the qualification to the final phase of the European tournament, scheduled in Cyprus between 20 May and 5 June.
Francesco Camarda spoke: “Our aim is to reach the final phase top of the group and with maximum points: we are a strong side, both technically and in terms of our character”. The Italian strength was seen in the last game against Belgium: “Despite starting badly (2-0 down after less than 15 minutes) - emphasised the forward, born in 2008 and who has already made his Serie A debut with AC Milan - we knew how to turn the result around, showing what we are made of”. Deserved, also thanks to his brace, he concluded: “If I managed to score it is down to teamwork: I repeat, we’re a good group, from first to last”.
Going through to the final phase of the Euros will be the top 8 teams from each group in the elite round and the seven best second-placed sides for a total of 15 teams, including the hosts, Cyprus.
