Head Coach Luciano Spalletti released his squad list for November yesterday which sees Jorginho and Toloi back in the Italy squad. The new Coach has now called up 17 Champions of Europe out of the 26 total players who lifted the Cup in Wembley in July 2021. Sirigu, Chiellini, Bonucci, Emerson, Florenzi, Verratti, Bernardeschi, Castrovilli and Insigne are the players from that side who have not received a call-up so far.
In the last international action of 2023, the number of European Champions called up by Spalletti jumps to 44.8% (13 of 29): the highest percentage in 3 months. In September it was 41.3% (12 of 29) and in October it dropped to 39.2% (11 of 28).
