Brazil will host the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup, after beating off competition from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands at the 74th FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand. The open voting process at the FIFA Congress determined the country, who will host the tournament for the first time in the history of the competition, as well as being the first on South American soil.

Spain are the current world champions, won last year in Australia and New Zealand. United States (four titles), Germany (two), Japan and Norway are the other nations to have lifted the trophy.
