Biraghi becomes Official Partner of the Italian National Football Team
The agreement, between the FIGC and the leading Italian dairy company, was made official today at the Federal Technical Centre in CovercianoTuesday, March 21, 2023
Biraghi, a leading company in the dairy sector, will be Official Partner of the Italian National Football Team for the next 4 years. The agreement was made official today during a conference of the FIGC, Giovanni Valentini, the National Team's Technical Commissioner, Roberto Mancini, and Biraghi's Board Member, Claudio Testa.
The partnership will cover all national teams (men's, women's, youth, futsal, beach soccer and e-sports) and will make its debut on 23 March at the Italy vs. England match in Naples. The famous Biraghi brand will accompany the teams on the sidelines, in the backdrop for interviews and press conferences and in the 'Casa Azzurri' hospitality area.
This is not the first time that Biraghi has chosen to associate its brand with important sporting events, such as the recent sponsorship of two editions of the Giro d'Italia cycling race. This proximity to the Italian world of sport stems from a deep sharing of values, first and foremost the importance of a healthy and correct diet not only for competitive athletes, but for all people. Added to this is the company's concrete link to the territory, which produces all its products in Italy and for which it uses only Italian milk. From Gran Biraghi grated to Gran Ricotta Super Cremosa to the now famous Biraghini Snacks, all products of the Piedmontese company are now on the tables of Italians and contribute to a healthy and balanced diet.
Moreover, the national team has always represented the values of identity, passion, courage and sense of belonging, to which Biraghi feels deeply attached. These values are of huge importance in the education of the younger generations, the future of our country.
"We welcome Biraghi," said Giovanni Valentini, Head of Revenues of the FIGC, "with great pleasure and pride within our family. We are happy to share the path with an excellent Italian brand such as Biraghi, who hold dear the same values with the Federation: the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, the care of nutrition and the desire to believe in the growth of our young people both as footballers and, above all, as people."
"We feel honoured," said Claudio Testa, Board Member of Biraghi S.p.A., "to be able to be, for the next four years, at the side of the national teams committed to keeping the name of Italy esteemed across the world. And we are very proud to share the values of the Maglia Azzurra, in which we completely recognise ourselves. Our products will be able to give the right fuel to the athletes."
At the end of the press conference, the Head of Revenues of the FIGC Giovanni Valentini, together with the coach Roberto Mancini, presented Claudio Testa with a national team jersey with the number 34, symbolising the year in which the Biraghi company was founded (1934), which coincided with the first World Cup won by the Azzurri.
