Bernardo Corradi calls up 26 players for training camp ahead of first European qualifying phase

The Under-17 National Team are ready to make their first step towards the Euros. Next week, the 26 players called up by Bernardo Corradi will meet up at the Tirrenia Olympic Training Centre and start preparing for the first qualifying phase, which, for the Azzurrini, will take place in Northern Ireland. The upcoming training camp will begin on Monday 18 October and finish on Sunday 24 October, when the Head Coach will decide the 20-man squad that will travel to Belfast the day after. It’s in the Northern Irish capital where Italy will play three qualifying round fixtures as they look to eventually make it to the final tournament, which will be held in Israel from 16 May 2022.

For the first step in the qualification process, Italy have been placed in Group 12 alongside Northern Ireland, Albania and Scotland. The 13 group winners, the 13 runners-up and the four third-placed teams with the best record against the first and second-placed teams in their group advance to the elite round.
