After Daniele De Rossi, another World Champion joins Club Italia – former National Team defender Andrea Barzagli. He will be assistant coach of the youth National teams next season, ranging from the Under 20 to the Under 15. The FIGC has confirmed six of the seven Youth team technical staff for the 2021/22 season. The only new entry is Massimiliano Favo, who will replace Patrizia Panico as the Under-15 coach, after the former Italian champion decided to take on a new challenge this summer as coach of Fiorentina Women.

Paolo Nicolato will continue to lead the Under-21 team for the next two years, as last May he extended his contract with the Federation until the summer of 2023 together with Maurizio Viscidi, coordinator of the National youth teams. In addition to Mirco Gasparetto, he will also have Daniele Gastaldello as his assistant, taking over from Patrizia Panico. Also confirmed are Alberto Bollini (Under-20), Carmine Nunziata (Under-19), Daniele Franceschini (Under-18), Bernardo Corradi (Under-17) and Daniele Zoratto (Under-16).

Another interesting addition is the creation of Club Italia’s Football Analysis division, born from a mixture of Scouting and Match Analysis. It is formed by match analysts, observers and data analysts, who report directly to Roberto Mancini, Milena Bertolini, and to the coordinators of all the National Youth teams.
