Bari's city council, in collaboration with the FIGC, has organised a series of events and activities at the city's most famous landmarks and commercial areas in the days leading up to Italy vs. Malta.
THE AZZURRI STREETS. The streets and shops will be coloured and decorated in blue from today until Saturday 14 - the day of the game - with many events organised.
BARI LIGHTS UP BLUES. Until Saturday 14 October, some of the city's most famous landmarks will be lit up blue azzurro: the fountain in Piazza Aldo Moro, the metropolitan city tower on the Naazario Sauro promenade, the Stadio San Nicola, the 'Horse with a caparison' statue by sculptor Mario Ceroli in corso Vittorio Emanuele, and the flagpole on the Adriatic bridge.
BARI AND SIGGIEWI TWINNED CITIES. On Saturday 14 October, at 10:30 CEST, in the main hall at Bari council, the city of Bari and the Maltese city of Siggiewi will officially register as twinned cities, united by the devotion and strong links to San Nicola. The mayor of Bari, Antonio Decaro, will welcome a delegation from the Maltese council, led by their mayor Dominic Grech.
GIOVANNI XXIII HOSPITAL. A number of tickets for the game have been provided for use by children in care at the Giovanni XXIII Children's Hospital.
