Azzurrini lose again to Germany at the Framas Stadion
After being beaten 3-0 in the first friendly on Friday, Italy lost 5-0 this time around in PirmasensMonday, March 25, 2024
The second of two friendlies against Germany for the Under 16 national team has ended with another defeat at the Framas Stadion in Pirmasens again, this time 5-0 following a 3-0 defeat three days ago. The Azzurrini, with a totally different starting line-up to the previous game, conceded the opening goal early on, scored by Hoffenheim striker David Creta (5'). The same German number 18, at the beginning of the second half (52'), grabbed his and the game's second before the hosts run riot with goals from Eymen Laghrissi (68'), Alexander Staff (80') and Lennart Karl (88').
"We are very down," confessed head coach Daniele Zoratto, "because it was a really crushing defeat. We were a little too superficial for some goals and we can't afford that against anyone, let alone a strong team like Germany. We must give a lot of credit to our opponents but, above all, look at our mistakes."
