The Under-16 National Team team ended the UEFA Tournament in Antalya with a defeat. After losing 5-2 in their first game against France and running out 4-0 winners against hosts Turkey, the Azzurrini were beaten 4-1 by their Paraguayan counterparts. Italy took the lead in the 20th minute thanks to a great goal by Chievo Verona’s Samuele Vignato, but Paraguay levelled just 60 seconds later through Pereira.

Enciso put the South American side ahead a minute into the second half, with the Azzurrini's opponents then going on to round off the result with Pereira’s penalty in the 55th minute followed by Enciso’s goal with 68 minutes on the clock. France, who only need a draw to guarantee that they win the tournament, will face Turkey in the afternoon.
