Azzurrini aiming for Euros quarter-finals with a game to spare against Slovakia

72 hours after the 2-0 win in their opening European Championship clash against Poland, the National Under 17s are back in action this afternoon (17:00 CEST, live on Rai Play and UEFA TV) at the Dasaki Achnas Stadium against Slovakia in their second Group C fixture. The Azzurrini, with a win, would go through automatically to the quarter-finals with a game to spare.

Massimiliano Favo (tecnico Nazionale Under 17) e Maurizio Viscidi (coordinatore delle Nazionali giovanili)

"We don't make calculations," specified haed caoch, Massimiliano Favo, "and we never have done. Our only objective, even in friendlies, is to win without, though, going against who we are. We have a precise philosophy, outlined by our youth national teams coordinator (Maurizio Viscidi, ed.), and we are keen to follow it, as we have done up to now."

After facing Slovakia, Italy will then take on Sweden at the Paralimni Municipal Stadium Tasos Markou on Monday 27 May (17:00 CEST).
