It's the first day of the camp for the Azzurri at the home of Italian football and Coverciano, in the hall leading to the restaurant, among the photos of triumphs and challenges, by the side of the prominent federation logo which welcomes those arriving, another team has joined: the team from the agency partners of the FIGC and the Italian National teams, for a whole day by their side - also physically - by Head Coach Spalletti and his side, as the vice secretary and Head of Revenues of the FIGC, Giovanni Valentini underlines: "Alongside the team that will take to the field to represent an entire country, there is another one working and playing off of the pitch: I'm referring to that of our commercial partners, who support the Federation, with which we wish to share the most important moments of our journey".
The Azzurri is a practice, almost like a right that accompanies the agencies at the side of the FIGC in a day that is a bit different from the usual, but that knows of coexistence and the desire to be together, where the partners have breakfast with the players and staff of the national side, speak with them and share moments of preparation in the life of an athlete. The day goes on with a press conference from the Head Coach, which in fact, officially kicks off the camp. During the press conference the Head Coach is asked what the team can take from Ambra Sabatini, Olympic Champion Sprinter at the Tokyo games in 2021 and present today at the Centro Tecnico Federale. Spalletti rose to his feet and saluted Ambra, the same for weightlifter Leonardo Fabbri, European champion this year in Rome, both Adidas guests for the Azzurri Partner Day.
The moment to immortalise this day arrived. Everyone gathered on the pitch, mixed up, before attending the training session. There is, therefore, time to retrace the history of the national side, with the memento's that tell the story of the National Side's great successes, with a visit to the Museo del Calcio to admire the shirts and cups in an emotional journey which started from the first trophies in the 30's until the night at Wembley, for the Euro 2020 win.
And it didn't end there, the day will end with the chance to see the Hall of Fame del Calcio Italiano ceremony, in the auditorium of the Centro Tecnico Federale, admiring the champions who enter into Azzurri history.
