Italy trained at Coverciano this afternoon. The Azzurri will hold a session at the federal training centre tomorrow morning before they depart for Konya in the afternoon. Luiz Felipe left the squad today after medical exams undertaken yesterday ruled him out of the friendly against Turkey.
The Lazio defender, who was in the Italy squad for the first time, joins Verratti, Berardi and Mancini, who picked up knocks against North Macedonia and left the squad, and also Jorginho, Immobile and Insigne as part of the planned rotation for the Turkey game.
TURKEY vs. ITALY. Italy will play in Konya for the first time and they have played Turkey eleven times. The Azzurri are unbeaten against the Crescent-Stars, having won eight and drawn three (21 goals scored and five conceded). The last meeting between the two teams was at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome when Italy won 3-0 in the opening game of EURO 2020.
