All focus is on the match in Oslo the day after the opening of the camp and Champions League final. Spalletti described Inter's achievement of getting to the final, "the second in three years, at the end of a season that I'd describe as 'extraordinary', because they went far in all of the competitions. The match in Oslo won't be an easy one, because there's a lot riding on us getting to the World Cup". Coach Luciano Spalletti began the media operations with the usual press conference speaking to the press two months after the last international game. The camp has a double flavour, because it comes at the end of an intense season and it's the start of an international window that can affect World Cup qualification. 

Spalletti underlined the importance of the clash: "We know, the players and I, the importance of Friday's game. This is the best Norway side ever, they're a team with great physical qualities, especially up front. They play an attacking brand of football where Sorloth can play out wide and then move centrally. However, we have everything we need to play well and put a good performance together. How will we line up to face them? With a three at the back, and I'll have six players to choose from. We'll always need to be aware of the fact that we might need to change our tactics during the game, like we did in the second half against Germany, in the quarter-final second leg of the Nations League". 

In terms of available defenders, Alessandro Buongiorno will not be available. Fiorentina centre back Luca Ranieri has been called up to replace him. Francesco Acerbi won't be there either: "He didn't respond to the call up: we acknowledge that and move on. For now, he won't be replaced. 

Spalletti also spoke about the Champions League final won by Paris Saint Germain and Inter's season: "I would give more weight to the campaign they've had rather than the matches they have lost". He also spoke about Gigio Donnarumma: "Donnarumma showed himself to be the best around, yesterday and during the season. It helps us to have players of this quality, who have won a European trophy". 

As well as admiring "a top level midfielder" and the fact that "up front we can rely on our options but we also have to think about the balance of the team". Spalletti smiled when Napoli's Scudetto was mentioned: "My congratulations go to Bologna for their Coppa Italia win and the Partenopei. They did something amazing by winning the league, considering the strength of the team one year ago. I enjoy watching the celebration scenes on the TV".
