The Women's First Team squad are only two days away from meeting back up for the first time in 2023, as they get ready to take part in the second edition of the Arnold Clark Cup - along with England, Belgium and South Korea. The tournament will give the Azzurre vital preparation for the upcoming World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, that takes place from 20 July to 20 August 2023. Due to a calf injury, AC Milan midfielder Marta Mascarello will play no part in the tournament in England, with Head Coach Milena Bertolini calling up Everton star Aurora Galli to replace her.
The Azzurre are set to meet up at Coverciano on Sunday evening, with the first training session scheduled for Monday. The following day, the squad will set off for London before moving to Milton Keynes, where they will play the competition's opening match against Belgium on Thursday 16 February (17.45 CET).
Also part of the staff going to England will be Federica D’Astolfo, who after her 2019 World Cup experiences returns to work as Milena Bertolini's Assistant, alongside Nicola Matteucci.
