The second friendly also goes Italy’s way. After beating the French side two days ago (3-1), the Under 17 National team backed up their first win with a comeback victory today in Coverciano by the narrowest of margins (2-1) thanks to a good team performance that showed grit and determination: "This is proof that when you are a group and are all prepared to help each other out, you can even the toughest situations. Whatever the final score, I would have been happy, because of your spirit and your desire to fight until the end" said Corradi in the middle of the circle formed by his players at the end of the match. The match was an uphill battle from the off, with France leading after twenty minutes thanks to a goal from Michal. The Azzurrini then held their ground before coming back strong after the break to equalise through the replacement Bolzan. The centre-forward, not happy to settle for a draw, secured the victory with a stunning freekick that he curled around the wall to put into the top corner of the French goal beating Olmeta
