Luciano Spalletti’s Serie A tour continues: after paying Frosinone a visit yesterday, the Azzurri Head Coach watched Empoli train at the Carlo Castellani Computer Gross Arena this morning.

It represented a return home for Spalletti, who, 30 years ago, finished his playing career and started out as a coach with the Tuscan side, leading them to consecutive promotions from Serie C1 to Serie A. Accompanied by his assistant, Marco Domenichini, and fitness coach Francesco Sinatti, the Head Coach, who has also visited Atalanta, Juventus and Torino in the past few weeks, met Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi, sporting director Pietro Accardi and Head Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli, the latter of whom he studied with at Coverciano and was his assistant at Udinese and Roma.
