54 players called up for in-house training tournament at the end of November
A three-day event that will provide an opportunity to assess players born in 2005Monday, November 22, 2021
After recording three wins in three matches in the first phase of European qualifying in Northern Ireland at the start of the month, the Under-17 National Team will soon be involved in the ‘Torneo dei Gironi’ at the Novarello sports centre. This three-day event will see 54 players, all of whom were born in 2005, get involved in in-house training matches. Under the guidance of Bernardo Corradi, the National Team starters will come up against two teams led by other federal coaches. In summary, then, it’ll be akin to a large training camp and, through a three-way tournament, will give the coaches the chance to assess youngsters who could make a contribution in the second phase of European qualifying in March.
The first of the three matches will take place between Team A and Team B at 12:00 CET on Friday 26 November. The day after, the loser of this game will face the Under-17 National Team, who will go on to play the winner of the first match at 11:00 CET on Sunday 28 November. At the end of this game, the players will return home.
