3 eNations Friendly Cup: Italy face Poland and Sweden in their preparations for the European Championship

With the football world looking for a way to restart after the enforced break due to COVID-19, the FIGC continued its activities in the world of esports. In preparation for the UEFA eEURO2020 finals, which will be played on 23 and 24 May, the TIMVISION PES eNazionale faced Sweden and Poland in the 3 eNations Friendly Cup, a friendly tournament on Pro Evolution Soccer.

Italy fell to a 5-2 defeat against Poland before bouncing back with a 4-1 win over Sweden. Two precious tests ahead of the finals of the continental tournament, which will see the Azzurri face Denmark, Turkey and Serbia in Group B, with the goal of securing a spot in the quarter-finals by coming in the top two of the group. The TIMVISION PES eNazionale will be looking to repeat their excellent performances from qualifying, where they topped their group with eight wins, one draw and just one defeat.

The four Azzurri eplayers for the first virtual European Championship in history will be Rosario ‘Npk_02’ Accurso, Nicola ‘nicaldan’ Lillo, Carmine ‘Naples17x’ Liuzzi and Alfonso ‘AlonsoGrayfox’ Mereu, with the players speaking to TIMVISION last night about their excitement to wear the Azzurri shirt, along with their dream of becoming champions of Europe in two weeks’ time, gifting Italy their first trophy in the world of esports.
