22 Azzurrini have been called up for the Four Nations Tournament, a competition that usually takes place every year in Duisburg, Germany. Italy, Israel, Belgium and Germany will finally face each other after a pause in play lasting one and a half years. Today, Bernardo Corradi announced the names of the players who will meet up in Milan on Sunday (29 August) prior to departing for Germany the next day.
The Azzurrini’s first match will be against Israel (13:00 CEST on 1 September), while they’ll then take on Belgium (16:00 CEST on 3 September) and hosts Germany after that (11:00 CEST on 6 September).
Following the team’s two friendlies against Switzerland in August (a 3-0 victory and a 1-0 loss), this traditional tournament is another test just one month before the first phase of European Championship qualifying, which will begin on 27 October in Northern Ireland.
