In addition to the men's Beach Soccer National Team, which was founded in 2004 by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti and came under the Club Italia umbrella in the 2011/12 season, the women's Beach Soccer National Team came into being in 2021, making its debut on 1 June 2022 against Spain in the Women’s Euro Beach Soccer League.
