A visit to the Football Museum, to discover its treasures that tell the story of the Italian football: this morning the Women’s National team Head Coach, Andrea Soncin, saw the objects contained housed at the museum in Coverciano with his own eyes, pausing with particular attention in the room dedicated to the Azzurre.

During the busy schedule leading up to the two Nations League fixtures (Friday 1 December in Pontevedra against Spain and Tuesday 5 December in Parma against Switzerland), between technical meetings and training sessions, the Head Coach wanted to take the time to visit the Museo del Calcio: “Now the objective is to bring one of our relics, which represents our journey” commented Soncin, after following the story of the president of the Fondazione Museo del Calcio, Matteo Marani, who took him around the various museum rooms, immersing him in the atmosphere of great Italian successes. He continued: “Here you can really feel the magic of Italy: visiting the museum means understanding even more what wearing this shirt represents”.

The coach's visit ended with a game: invited by Matteo Marani, Andrea Soncin selected his Azzurri top all-time starting XI, an activity available to all visitors on the first floor of the museum. e smiled, “Really difficult choices…” he smiled, whilst he arranged the Head of the Delegation, Gigi Buffon, on the display to preside over his “all time” line-up, then opting for an exceptional triple threat: Roberto Baggio, Gigi Riva and Paolo Rossi.
