Time again to honour our legends at Coverciano: on Monday 11 November, at 18:00 CET (live on Raisport, then through Rai 2 from around 19.30 CET) the annual ceremony 'Hall of Fame del Calcio Italiano' will be celebrated. This is a ceremony that has been celebrated since 2011 by the FIGC, which awards players, coaches, referees and directors that have helped write the story of Italian Football.
The 12th edition of this awards ceremony will take place in the auditorium of the Centro Tecnico Federale with the awards being decided by a panel of sporting journalists, headed by Matteo Marani, President of the Fondazione Museo del Calcio.
It will be a blue tinted evening, the colour which unites four of the six award winners who are gaining legend status: Azzurri of today, like Head Coach Luciano Spalletti (Category 'Coach') and of yesterday like the 2006 World Cup winner Daniele De Rossi (Italian player) and the 1970 World Cup Runner-Up Roberto Boninsegna (Veteran). The Azzurre player Valentina Giacinti will also be present (player). The squad and staff of the national team will meet on Sunday at Coverciano to continue the preparations for the Nations League game against Belgium and France.
Each year there is an award dedicated to a foreign player who has helped light up Serie A: the panel chose Andriy Shevchenko (foreign player), ballon d'or winner in 2004 and key player for AC Milan in the early 2000 With Scheva there will also be the man who decided to bring him to the Rossoneri: Ariedo Braida, general director of Milan (Director).
